(This is the first in a series called “Things To Do” – it will focus on the many, many things there are to do in and around Great Falls)
I stopped by Valley View Mini Golf a few days ago – it really is a beautiful little oasis!
It’s located at 1405 9th Street NW (on the east side of the street), and stepping through the arch is really like walking into a little land of magic.
Annette Johnson, whose father designed and built it (!!!) back in the mid-60s, and her husband Kim do an amazing job keeping it looking beautiful – grass, trees, plants, and flowers surrounding the traditional types of mini-golf features such as the windmill.
And if you check out the reviews on TripAdvisor.com, it’s pretty clear that people LOVE this place. A small sample:
We have loved going to this mini golf course for years! It is the best kept and most beautiful min golf course we have ever done.
This place is really fun. The best mini golf courses I have been to.
Clean, well kept, beautiful flowers, great course!
Beautiful landscaped mini golf with great hole for all levels of experience, challenging but very fun.
Valley View Mini Golf is open throughout the summer, usually until mid-September, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day, and they also have a small concession stand where you can buy water, soda, chips, and ice cream.
They only accept cash and check – no ATM/debit/cards.
It’s a really neat place to spend a few hours with family and/or friends – click here to visit the Facebook page.
They also have gift certificates, perfect to give to a friend or family member! You can call them at 406-452-7364 if you have any questions.
When I visited the other day, Annette was kind enough to give me one so that I could give it to one of YOU! It’s good for four people, and includes snacks!
Just leave a comment below with your name and email address, and I will draw one entry on Friday (June 14th), so be sure to leave your comment BEFORE NOON on Friday!
