Cattlemen’s Cut update

If you haven’t heard already – Cattlemen’s Cut restaurant is on the move! It’s been located between Great Falls and Vaughn for years (right across the street from the Bighorn Bar & Grill!).

A few months ago, the owner, Julie Meyer, announced that Cattlemen’s Cut would move into the building in the Great Falls Marketplace that once was home to On The Border (and before that, Tony Roma’s).

A few days ago, the iconic large cow perched atop the entrance at the old location was taken down, and is now being prepped for its new home. Julie noted that it will be painted black.

She posted on Facebook over the weekend: “I got notified on Tuesday that the liquor license has been approved for the new location. Now just another week maybe to finish up the loans and then we start painting and remodeling and cleaning the new place this is taking a long time and a lot of patience.”

I’m excited about the new location – I enjoy my steaks at Cattlemen’s, but the decor just didn’t seem very “steakhouse-y” to me. The new spot will definitely be better in terms of decor and atmosphere.
