The Cascade County Sheriff’s Office will host two events in the coming weeks so that people can meet and get to know some of the detention officers that work in the jail.
It’s called “Cup O’ Joe With A D.O” (cute!), and looks like it is similar the recent “Coffee With A Cop” sessions that the GFPD has hosted.
The first session will be on Saturday, May 18, at Morning Light (1701 9th Avenue South) starting at 10 a.m. The second will be on Saturday, June 15 at Schulte’s (3800 3rd Avenue South) at 11 a.m. If you’d like to know more about the men and women who run the jail, the challenges they face, and the requirements to become an officer, you should definitely try to attend.
The Sheriff’s Office also posted recently that Deputy Shawn Baker, who has been with CCSO for seven years, has been selected to the Criminal Investigations Division effective April 19th.
Also – the Sheriff’s Office posted a Facebook update today highlighting the last week:
We had 280 Calls for Service. Some of those calls were:
*24/7 Sobriety- 2 (anti-DUI initiative)
*Offense Against Family/Child-2
The Criminal Investigative Division has 15 active Sex Offense cases and 1 active Child Abuse case. Today’s Inmate Population in the Detention Center is 456.
As always — I am extremely grateful to the officers and staff of our Sheriff’s Office, the Great Falls Police Department, and all other law-enforcement officials who serve and protect our community!
