It was a grey, chilly day in Great Falls; there was some light rain/snow overnight, and it returned in the afternoon. We stopped by Gibson Pond to check out the geese and ducks, and were surprised at the number of seagulls – I think they even outnumbered the geese! They all seemed to be getting along just fine.
The pond is now a mix of water and ice; we saw a few ducks diving under the surface and then popping up a few feet away. Very cute. Two of the geese marched right up to the side of my car and waited patiently for me to toss them some food, but sadly, I didn’t have any. Next time, I promise!
