The Senior Project learning experience culminates each year in May with Senior Boards. This program involves students choosing an area of interest for their year-long project or internship and giving back to the community. During Boards, seniors present their learning experiences to peers, staff members, and judges from the community. We would love for you to help us with our celebration of learning. We need approximately 150 community members to assist teachers as judges during Senior Boards.
This year our presentation day will be Wednesday May 22nd. There will be 3 blocks of time, like last year, with each block totaling 20 minutes to accommodate questions. If you would like to assist us, I would need you to meet me in the CMR cafeteria at 9:00 a.m. This will give us time to pass out judging folders, and it will give you time to review the rubric before presentations begin at 9:39. We have 42 students presenting this year on both passion and career-based topics. We will finish block 3 at 10:49 and you would be free to go at that time.
The only requirements necessary to be a judge are: 1] an interest in watching high school students show off their educational talents, 2] a willingness to provide feedback to students on a user friendly scoring form, and 3] the ability to give a couple hours of your time on Wednesday May 22nd. We will provide food and refreshments and answer any questions you might have. Please email me if you would like to serve as a community judge for Senior Boards this year. Also, if you have family or friends whom you think might like to judge, please feel free to forward this letter along.
Thank you kindly,
