For some reason, I never visited Craig – but that changed over the weekend, thankfully. We headed down to enjoy dinner at Izaak’s, and were pretty impressed.
Good menu selection – steaks, seafood, pasta, appetizers, desserts, etc – and we opted for a cheeseburger (me) and fish and chips (her). Both were delicious – I’d put the burger in my Top Ten list. Fries were awesome, and Krista said that her anchovy-topped salad was excellent. Unfortunately, they were out of the iron-skillet blueberry cobbler, but my root beer float handled my sweet tooth.
It is a bit $$$, however – the burger and fries were $14, and the steaks were in the $33 range.
Atmosphere was enjoyable and loud – very friendly and efficient staff; decor is Montana and fishing (duh).
Definitely worth the 35-40 minute drive – which, by the way, is arguably one of the most beautiful drives in Montana.
