I love it when other people post blog entries or articles about our world-famous Sip-n-Dip; it reminds me how fortunate we are to have this treasure right here in Great Falls. Some earlier catches include Rhett Gadke’s fond memories of his visit, and the ultra-suave Jack Velvet’s trip a few months (including video!). And here’s a few newer finds:
– Everywhere.com has a nice summary, and reminds folks about the best part of the Sip-n-Dip – Piano Pat! Six nights a week, the famous Piano Pat tinkles the ivories, as she has for over 40 years. She takes requests but expect to hear “Sweet Caroline” throughout the night…by round two you will be slapping the table and singing along to the “bah bah baaaaaahhhhhhh”s with the people sitting all around you.
– Laura from Totten Photography in Seattle visited to shoot pix for a rehearsal dinner held in Great Falls, including a stop at the Sip-n-Dip: The Sip-n-Dip, with piano bar entertainer Piano Pat, deserves it’s own blog post (or it’s own photo project…), but there is so much to tell that I suggest you book a direct flight to Great Falls and check it out yourself. There’s absolutely no place like it…
– Over at And I Am Not Lying, a New Yorker posts a couple of Sip-n-Dip pix and states: My old boss used to say that “perfection is the enemy of good,” meaning that perfectionism stops a lot of good things from happening. That’s the case with this post I’ve been working on about the greatest bar in the USA.
