One of the things that people assume about me when they learn of my love for Montana is that I am a hunter, or otherwise an avid outdoorsman. People who know me well are probably already chuckling at that statement, but it’s true. The fact is, I’ve never hunted. In fact, despite spending 20 years in the military, I have only fired a weapon twice; once was in basic training (barely hit the target), and once was at a little homestead south of Great Falls at a 4th of July party a few years ago (I just shot a couple of holes in the ground). But let me tell you something: if I ever decide to buy a gun – for sport, hobby, or self-defense – then there is no doubt that I will turn to Big Sky Guns.
It is a locally-owned business; in fact, it’s owned by a former co-worker of mine who also recently retired from the military. He is without a doubt one of the most straight-talking, honest guys that I’ve ever met; the kind of guy that calls to mind the phrase “his word is his bond.” And since he recently added a GreaterFalls.com banner to his website, then it’s only fair that I do the same, with regrets that I didn’t do it sooner. If you plan to buy a gun, check out Big Sky Guns, and tell ’em that Dave sent you.
