Around the Great Falls ‘Sphere

Google+ Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr +

The Great Falls blogosphere has been positively abuzz the last several weeks, thanks primarily to the municipal election. Lots and lots of discussion about civility, which I will summarize in a later post. But there’s other stuff going on, too!

– Let’s start with a new Great Falls blogger, Rob, who discusses the soon-to-be-opened new restaurants here in town. Welcome to our online community, Rob!

– Susan has a lengthy post over at the Overfield Kennel blog about the $5,000 donation by the City to the animal shelter.

– AJ Tooley comments – snarkily and correctly – on an article about the likelihood of a Yellowstone eruption. (is “snarkily” a word?)

– GeeGuy posts a link to an online “Presidential Preference” quiz (which I took and blogged about over at my other place).

– The Yard Whisperer is selling his car – looks like a pretty good deal.

– The Great Falls Public Library lists the Ten Scariest Characters in Literature, and wants to know who YOU think it is.

That’s just a sample – you can check out the entire roster of Great Falls Bloggers right here. And if you’re not a blogger but would like to be, I can help – just holler (david AT or leave a comment here)!

  1. I like Rob’s new blog…

    A note to you backward ass GF locals: Please do not bash locally owned, national restaurant concepts.

    Chili’s, Macaroni Grill, and Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza are ALL LOCALLY OWNED…they’re franchises. Get it???? Educate yourselves before you declare that you “doubt you’ll ever eat there.”

    What is wrong with you people???? Welcome to the 21st Century.

  2. Rob Rocks

    You are 100% right.

    “… Great Falls based -Shoot the Moon, LLC- has acquired a franchise territory in Washington, Idaho and Montana, including seven corporate-owned Chili’s restaurants in Washington and Idaho. Over the next five years, Shoot the Moon will develop seven new locations, including the first Chili’s and Macaroni Grill restaurants to be built in Montana…”

    The new Chili’s going up over on restaurant row (in the marketplace) will be their franchise headquarters.

    Will I eat there… You gotta-know I will.

    Here’s what Brinkers has to say about it all;
