Behind The Times

The Downtown Great Falls Association is a good organization, in my opinion. It’s devoted to making downtown better, in simple terms. I love the downtown area; the shops, the businesses, the people, the atmosphere, no matter the time of year. But, as is too often the case, the website for the DGFA is sadly outdated and seems to be dying of neglect. For instance, on the “Newsletter” page, the most current information is from 2005. Same thing with the “Events” page. Sigh. I’m having flashbacks to the GFDA website issue (which, by the way, still hasn’t been updated, other than adding Brett’s picture). Now don’t go jumping on me by claiming that I’m “attacking” or mocking the DGFA – I’m just trying to point out that there is no reason for any such website to be out of date or neglected in the year 2007.

  1. It’s too bad that folks would let this go. But on the other hand, online site builders just aren’t all they are cracked up to be. They are cumbersome and slow, difficult to get around in and don’t list well in the indexes.
