FINALLY! After being prepared for disappointment by mid-morning yesterday, the snow finally started to fall! Probably about two or three inches here in Great Falls, but LOTS more outside of town. Once the wind finally died down yesterday afternoon and the snowflakes started falling down instead of across, it was just beautiful. And waking up to more snow falling this morning was just icing on the snow-cake! Yes, yes, all you snow-naysayers – it’s not fun to drive in, but come on – isn’t it just amazing? Yes, yes, “winter” is still a few weeks away, but isn’t it about time for winter-like weather to arrive? HECK YES! If this approaching storm doesn’t yield some snow for Great Falls within the next 24 hours, I’ll eat my hat. NOTE: the hat referenced above may not, in fact, be a real hat; instead, it may be a hat-shaped thing made out of (a) bacon, (b) cheese, (c) chocolate, or (d) any other such edible as can be fashioned into something resembling a hat.
