Help AJ Win!

Monday, November 26, 2007

Great Falls’ very own AJ Tooley has created a clever video as an entry in a Home Depot gift card contest. Check it out: Read The Whole Thing >>> I don’t know if there is anything we can do to support Allan other than watch and share his video – the number of views for each video does count towards the final score – so please copy and paste his soon-to-be-award-winning entry into your blog and let’s make the holidays EXTRA special for a fellow Great Falls blogger! « Hide It

Around the Great Falls ‘Sphere

Wednesday, November 14, 2007

The Great Falls blogosphere has been positively abuzz the last several weeks, thanks primarily to the municipal election. Lots and lots of discussion about civility, which I will summarize in a later post. But there’s other stuff going on, too! - Let’s start with a new Great Falls blogger, Rob, who discusses the soon-to-be-opened new restaurants here in town. Welcome to our online community, Rob! - Susan has a lengthy post over at the Overfield Kennel blog about the $5,000 donation by the City to the animal shelter. - AJ Tooley comments – snarkily and correctly – on an...

Help For Boo

Monday, November 12, 2007

Many of you saw or read that a house burned down in Stockett on Thursday; it was the home of “Boo” Landon and his three children. Boo is a former co-worker of mine – a good guy, always ready with a smile and a “can do” attitude. He lost everything in the fire. If you can donate anything to the Landon family – money, clothing, groceries – it would be very much appreciated. Call Jerry Daugett at 736-5843 or 868-1410 if you can help. Thanks.

The following people celebrate birthdays: Henry Winkler (aka Fonzie); Grace Slick (of Jefferson Airplane/Starship); Ruth Gordon (of Scavenger Hunt); Ben Bailey (of Cash Cab); and lots of other people. And there is plenty of other stuff that happened on October 30!

Service

Sunday, October 21, 2007

Hutch has an entry in which he criticizes the service in local restaurants, citing three examples: So far in my time here in Great Falls, I’ve been disappointed in the quality of service provided in local restaurants. I’m gonna mention three restaurants here. And when I say my piece, it’s still up to you to decide. Elmer’s, Jaker’s, and Sedgie’s… some of the worst service I’ve ever had. I’ve been here for five years, and let me tell you: I have never received such friendly service anywhere as I have received in Great Falls. Period. In fact, several times...

Pay It Forward

Monday, October 8, 2007

The newest bloggers on the Great Falls blogroll – the Montana Eltings – have posted a “pay it forward” meme of sorts, and I’m playing along. The first three people to leave a comment on this entry here at GreaterFalls will receive a $10 gift certificate from Amazon.com — with the condition that they do the same thing. Doesn’t have to be a gift certificate or even anything monetary – just something nice for three other people. NOTE: you do NOT have to be a blogger or have your own blog to win – just an e-mail address!
