Hi! Just wanted to let you folks know that my mom & dad are taking me to meet someone today – his name is Doctor Mike, and they said that he’s a “puppy-atrician” and takes care of small fuzzy dogs – like me! He works at some place called Best Friends where I will get to see some other dogs and maybe even something called “cats.” I know what dogs are – I lived with my brothers and sisters for a while before mom and dad adopted me last week – but I’m not sure what a “cats” are....
You just knew that my next entry would be about the puppy, didn’t you? Especially since I broke down and finally got a Flip video camera (for only $54!)! Here’s a cute video of the puppy at play – and I used one of the semi-cheesy “effect” modes called “Play Date” that automatically inserts cutesy images and music. And as far a name for the pup: tough decision! We’ve tossed around a whole mess of names, including Kozmo, Nugget, Rudy, Turbo, Shatner, and Orbit…but right now the leading contender is Tiki.
David & Krista are proud to introduce the newest member of the family, who for now is known simply as Little Nugget: Took him to PetCo today and we were impressed with his uncanny ability to draw attention…heh. Here’s a little Q&A: Q: What is he? A: Half poodle, half chihuahua. In other words, a poo-wa-wa. Or chi-poo. Q: How old is he? A: Seven weeks old today. Q: Where did you get him? A: PetCetera on 10th Avenue South. He has three siblings that (as of yesterday) are still looking for loving homes. Q: Where is he from?...
- Yes, I really do enjoy my coffee strong – 8 shots in a “venti” Americano. I suppose after 25+ years of coffee, I’ve built up quite a tolerance. This little guy lives next door – he loves chasing squirrels and even bouncing in the air to try to catch snowflakes!
There is a gaping hole in our hearts: Kirby has passed away. He was almost 16 years old, and he LIVED a happy, wonderful, puppy-perfect life. Almost up until the end, you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between Kirby and a frisky, frolicking puppy – he was bursting with life and joy and happiness. He was known and loved by so many people, and probably had been in more business establishments in Great Falls than most people. He loved steak, antelope, chicken, and of course treats. Not a big fan of seafood, though. Tolerated being dressed up...
