Salad Creations is now open! Looks like a cool place, but…uh…you’ll have to let me know how it is, because I have a feeling that if I set foot in there, it (or I) would probably burst into flames. Salad – ewww. Read more
Got an e-mail from Brenda, a Great Falls native who now lives in a big city and is back in town for a visit; she asked about breakfast spots. Here are some of my recommendations:
“Greasy-spoon” – but delicious and inexpensive – is the Double Barrel Café at 1220 Central Avenue West.
Awesome breakfast at the Missouri River Diner, located at 9th Street Bridge on River Road; MONSTER-size pancakes and excellent bacon!
Tracy’s diner downtown on Central; not the best food, but it does have “atmosphere” 🙂 Can’t go wrong with Good Time Charlie’s at 38th Street and 10th Avenue South – open 24 hours, serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner anytime. The steak-n-eggs breakfast is a great bargain at $7.25 – just had it the other for dinner, in fact! And if you just want some good coffee and a bagel, try Morning Light on 9th Street North between 1st & 2nd Avenue north.
She replied that they were going to try the Missouri River Diner and report back on the experience – good choice!
By the way, she also mentioned that her “standard operating procedure” when she comes home for a visit to Great Falls is – you guessed it – a stop at Taco Treat!
So what breakfast spots did I forget to include? Do you have a favorite place?
