This should be interesting! Haven’t opened it yet, but can’t wait to dig in. Any of you remember seeing this or playing this game? Found it at Central Avenue Antiques & Second Hand (my new favorite store!).
Apparently Mountain Mudd – the drive-thru coffee shop at Central and 9th Street – is about to get a name change.
The franchise opened its Great Falls location almost exactly three years ago.
Couple of tweets came through today from @SixSpot:
– Officially my last check-in at Mountain Mudd. The new name will be public tomorrow!
– Same owners, friendly faces, & great coffee, just independent.
Getting close to the grand opening of another Great Falls business: the Mighty Mo Brewing Company on the 400 block of Central Avenue.
Their Facebook page says:
We are a new brewery opening in Downtown Great Falls, MT sometime around the end of 2013. We will be brewing beer using as many local products as possible and from the waters of the Mighty Missouri River, hence our name “Mighty Mo”.
They’re aiming for a late November or early December opening.
Pretty cool sign went up this week (courtesy – I believe – of the awesome CAT Graphics team):
Heather over at Moderately Crunchy has some tips for getting the most out of the Farmer’s Market. Among them:
Shop early. Know your local growing seasons. Go through the loop first. Develop relationships.
Tim Hodges sent me the link to this great video of the Independence Day parade in downtown Great Falls – cool!
Tim wrote: “I am a Boy Scout volunteer. I put together a short video of the Scouts carrying the overlook flag in the 4th of July parade. It is something your readers might like.”
Well done, Tim – thanks!
My Beer Buzz says:
Seth Swingley and Casey Kingsland plan to open Mighty Mo Brewing Company at 412 Central Avenue in October. The brewery, located in a space last occupied by an architect firm years ago, will have a tasting room open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
