Defiantly An Opps

Speaking of language…why do so many people seem to think that OOPS is spelled OPPS? Don’t they hear the “ooooo” that comes before the “ps” sound? And while we’re on it…yes, yes, I know all of YOU know better, but you’ve seen it many, many time: DEFIANTLY instead of DEFINITELY. Really? REALLY? For cryin’ out loud – sound it out!
