We hit up the brand-spankin’-new Montana Club on Saturday, and it is, in a word: AWESOME!
Seriously. From the moment we walked in, it was pretty much a perfect dining experience.
The decor is amazing – when the building was first opened a few years ago as the new Prospector, I was amazed at how beautiful it is – and it totally “fits” with the Montana Club theme and atmosphere.
The service was absolutely perfect – the hostesses, the managers (hi Amber!), and most of all our waitress, Joanna – couldn’t have been more friendly or on top of things.
The menu. Holy cow, the menu. What DON’T they have? All manner of burgers, steaks, seafood, appetizers, desserts, etc – seriously, it was so hard to decide!
We settled on the fried cheese steaks as an appetizer, and I ordered the 16-ounce ribeye, and K got the shrimp scampi.
The verdict: beyond delicious. The cheese sticks were way better than any others I’ve had in Great Falls. The ribeye was pretty much perfect – and that picture doesn’t do it justice, it was bigger than the photo makes it appear. In fact, it was on a par with the steaks at the Highwood Bar. K said the shrimp scampi was amazing, and the garlic-butter sauce was kick-ass.
We didn’t have room for dessert on this trip, but definitely next time. And we studied the breakfast menu – can’t wait to try that, too.
The bottom line: OMG. Seriously.
The ONLY quibble we had was the music – modern-day country, not our favorite. We mentioned it to Amber, and she said that they are working on a “Montana Club” music station Sweeeeeeet.
