If you’re looking for some nifty “day trips” outside of Great Falls, here’s some recommendations: Augusta, Choteau, Chester, Geraldine/Square Butte, Cascade.
Quick thoughts: Augusta had the most “old West” feel; Choteau felt sort of like stepping back to the 1950s; Chester was cute and felt remote (not in a bad way); Geraldine is cool, and Square Butte surprised me with the BEST burger I’ve ever had; and Cascade is simply beautiful.
