Gannett has announced that it is laying off about 700 employees — Gannett, the owner of the Great Falls Tribune. Doesn’t look like the Trib will lose anyone in this round.
Naturally, the news is getting lots of coverage online – Poynter, Gawker, etc – but what’s really interesting is that the Drudge Report provides a link to an article that details the planned layoffs. The link is to none other than the Fairfield Sun Times! Yep – Montana’s very own Fairfield! Way to go!
