A website called “Moving Cost” has posted a brief entry about the benefits of moving to Great Falls, and includes this introduction:
Conventional wisdom says that Great Falls, MT is known as “The Electric City” due to the presence of several hydroelectric dams that are in close proximity. While this much may be true, MovingCost.com recently came up with another explanation. We believe that Great Falls earned its nickname due to the jolt of energy that people who move here automatically receive.
Sure, it’s a site designed primarily to sell moving services, but I do like their alternate explanation for our city’s nickname!
