“Great Falls for $600, Alex”

Great Falls has been making its presence known on TV game/quiz shows lately, from Brent Woldtvedt on “Wheel of Fortune” and Anthony Curtis on “Jeopardy!” to Karman Klundt on “The Price Is Right” just a few days ago.

Soon we may be seeing another Great Falls person on “Jeopardy!” – our very own Eric Heidle, who just returned from an audition in SLC! Go read his account of the experience!

Which reminds me of my experience auditioning for “Jeopardy!” back in 1996 in San Francisco, when I answered 34 questions correctly during the 50-question tryout. Naturally, the cutoff to advance to the next round was…35 correct. And would you believe I mailed in 120 postcards in order to be selected as one of the 225 people selected to try out?

I’m still waiting for the Jeopardy folks to own up to the obvious clerical error that kept me from getting on the show last summer. I mean, what else could it have been?
