“Be Whoosis”

I alternate between laughing and crying on this one. Seriously. It was written by a college graduate.

Bill says, “If we are going to expand traffic in that area, that is our hope and that is our projection, then it’d be “whoosis” to make that intersection a safer one.”

Any guesses as to what Bill ACTUALLY said? Bonus round: where this was published?

Hmm, I’m guessing he said “it’d behoove us”, but I think I’m going to start using “be whoosis.” That is just classic!

Well, for all intensive purposes, he got the main idea right. ;)

Here is the source (one of your favorite places to point out errors):

Thats ok, I recently realized that I’ve been mis-pronouncing the phrase “For all intents and purposes” for most of my life: http://rgrimshaw.wordpress.com/2010/10/26/for-all-intensive-purposes/

Yep – it’s from the folks at KFBB – believe me, I don’t take much pleasure in pointing out their errors, but this one (like the Easter Seals a few weeks ago) are just so darn WRONG that I have to do it.
