We have a really cool exhibition opening next week called Will James: The Hays Collection. The opening reception is next week, Thursday, October 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. It’s free and open to the public and we’ll have wine and light refreshments.
This exhibition features roughly 250 pieces including watercolor paintings, oil paintings, pen and ink drawings, movie ephemera, books, photographs, and much more. This wonderful collection tells the story of Will James as a cowboy, artist, writer, and dreamer of the old West.
Collector A.P. (Abe) Hays will join us to introduce this historic collection and will be available for a walk-through to discuss the exhibition.
Who is Will James? Quite a character, apparently.
