Surely I’m not the only person who is slightly bothered when retired military personnel insist on using their “retired signature block” on every piece of correspondence and blog comments…right? If an issue is particularly relevant to military issues, or if the writer is drawing on his or her experience as a military member in regards to a certain situation, OK, that makes some sense…but to use the “retired military” tagline in EVERY missive? Nope.
