Left Turn Woes

Took a drive along 10th Avenue South headed east this morning and went to turn left onto 23rd Street (by Walgreens)…and was quite disappointed to learn that the multi-million dollar road renovation didn’t include a protected left-turn at that intersection.

Don’t get me wrong – I love the wider road and three-lanes – but how could the planners have failed to include a protected left-turn at this busy intersection?

I think the roads leading to UGF, COT & the Hospital need some re-thinking. Quickly.
If Benefis continues to build (like they are going to ever stop) we will have more traffic issues at 25th, 26th & 28th.
Rising enrollment to both schools has added more traffic to the area as well.
Of course the demolition of the housing for parking lots may help. (sarcasm)
