We found this scrawny baby bird in the front lawn on Monday…fell from a nest about 20 feet up in a tree. We didn’t think he was alive at first, but after a while he looked up and began begging for food and struggling to stand up. We found the “Help! I Found A Baby Bird!” web page and followed the directions…placed Beaky in a grass-lined basket, and then taped the basket as high up in the tree as possible, as close to the nest as we could.
Don’t know what his chances are, but to be honest, we’re surprised that he survived the initial fall. Beaky is a fighter!
