80s Alert – Rick Springfield is coming to Great Falls! It’s true – he’ll be performing at the Hideout Lounge, up on NE River Drive.
Tickets are $60…might be a bit pricey unless you (a) were a teenage girl in the 80s, (b) really enjoy his music, or (c) were/are a big “General Hospital” fan.
Couple of plates spotted yesterday; one is easy – Devil Duck – but I’m not sure about the other one. Any ideas?
Jack reminds us that it’s been 48 years since Malmstrom became a missile base, and adds:
I hope the Air Force and communities across Montana plan a big event for July 2012 which will be the 50th anniversary of the first missile going into the ground here in Montana. Many folks have passed through the gates of Malmstrom AFB over the years. It would be a heck of a reunion.
I’m picturing a huge Minuteman-shaped cake with 50 mini-missile candles.
Need an office? The Great Falls Ad Club would like to hear from you:
Looking for a new office space? Check out our Ad Club office! Our office is too big for our small staff, so we are looking for someone to assume our lease and our beautiful 2,100 sq ft space, located on 10th Avenue South. Let us know if you are interested!
It’s located at 609 10th Avenue South; their number is 761-6453.
The Rocking K Bar in Carter, formerly the Carter Bar! Very nice inside, and the new owner Tamara and barman Shane were pure Montana-friendly. Didn’t eat on this outing – just downed a couple of lemonades – but we’ll be back soon to try the ribeye steak (vittles!).
I was having so much over the weekend that I didn’t realize until a few minutes ago that Saturday marked my eight-year anniversary of arriving in Great Falls!
I’ve said it before, and I will repeat it here: thank you, Great Falls, for being such a wonderful community. That goes for all of it – the people, the leaders, the scenery, the events, the climate (!), the geese – everything!
