I’m stumped: what sort of graphic should I put up on top of Greater Falls for January? In October, of course, I featured Halloween stuff in the header; November was Thanksgiving; and December was the holidays. But January – should I go with snow and winter? Any suggestions?

Normally, since most winters lately have been broiwn, not white, I would go with snowflakes. But THIS year, an old fashioned kind of year, I think you should go with: Palm trees.

    Definately.

    And maybe some Hula girls.

And a few Hula boys for some of you readers, too…

Curtis, I just can’t do palm trees! I hate the heat so much that I just can’t bring myself to do it! I might be able to rustle up some hula (or tiki-style) folks, though.

I would ask Rankin & Bass if you could use the image of the new-year’s baby from the (now ancient) christmas special (Rudolphs’ Shiny New Year), and have a New Year’s theme. Either that, or you could be politically correct and post some Inauguration theme. Good luck, I have great confidence in you.

Considering the way it’s coming in, I think snow is highly appropriate. I’m just glad we’re closed today. Unfortunately, my husband had to navigate our 3 miles of gravel before he could hit the blacktop this morning. He may be walking home tonight. You have a plow we could borrow? *grin*

    Please! This is a no-brainer.

    Snow-covered geese and burgers.

Oh, and a snow-covered magnifying glass; for some reason the little box we have to type our comment in renders the text at a cruel 6 point font. *shakes fist*

For fun how about the classic cartoon characters from the Christmas cartoon with the abominable snowman, and rudolph!

    A line of snowplows.
