I’ve got a looong drive ahead of me (13 hours) today/tonight/tomorrow morning. Headed to Montrose, SD to see my parents and extended family, and the big dinner will be in Pierce, NE with my brother’s wife’s family. So big we’re renting the church hall. There will be plenty of turkey (I hope), plenty of the fixins and of course plenty of PIE. I don’t know anyone that’s eating ‘Tofurkey’, but I hope those that do are ashamed of themselves
Now, wish me luck that I’ll get of work in time to make it to dinner tomorrow!

We’re having turkey with the trimmings and a good old southern-style pecan pie for dessert. It was purchased to help support one of the local schools. We’ll have the pumpkin pie for Christmas.
It’ll just be the two of us this year, but it will be here in our home for which we are very thankful, given the state of the housing market.
