DLC Platform Meeting

Got an e-mail from good guy Chuck, who is looking for folks to join him at the GF Public Library on Thursday evening:

Every four years, the Democratic Party assembles a “platform” that outlines the party’s position on a variety of issues…(f)rom July 19 to July 27, everyday people all across America will hold Platform Meetings in their own communities…the results of these Platform Meetings will be incorporated into the formal process that culminates in the adoption of the platform at the Democratic Convention in August. A few participants may even be invited to appear and testify at the National Hearing and at the Convention! You can write the next chapter in the history of the Democratic Party. Please join us!

If you would like to attend, click here and sign up.
Please note that I am not endorsing Obama by promoting this meeting; I’m just advocating citizen participation and getting the word out for Chuck. If a similar meeting was being sponsored by the RNC and/or John McCain, I’d promote that, too. Of course, I’m not entirely sure that John McCain knows that Montana is one of the 50 states…
