Finally made it to the Good Eats “Coca Cola” Cafe! We’ve been meaning to head over there for a while, but reading about the 1st-place chili that they serve got us down there for lunch today.
Good Eats Coca-Cola Cafe…was both the judges’ pick for best chili and People’s Choice winner. As owner of Good Eats, John Williams has plenty of chili-cooking experience. He came up with a recipe last year that took second place in the competition and has served it in the restaurant ever since. He credits his success to a spice blend he declined to divulge.
We were not disappointed - the chili is great, and the breaded-n-baked “chuckwagon” burgers were delicious (I had two!). And the atmosphere and decor - well, see for yourself (click to see full-size pix):
One bit of irony: the fountain drinks are all Pepsi products! But they do sell bottled Coca-Cola by the register, so the karma is good.

Just wanted to let you know that there is a Coke fountain in the front of the store by the cash register, Soooo if anyone was wonderin’, we do have Coke on tap!
