Damn. Just found out that “Dave The Morning Guy” at Q-106 has passed away. I spoke with him a few times, when I won a contest or such…what a nice guy, and great on-air. I don’t know what happened – but he was way too young. The station has asked for fans and friends to send condolences to Dave’s family in care of the station at mail@q106rocks.com. My condolences to his wife, children, and family. Dave, thanks for being part of what has made Great Falls so great.
I liked Dave. He had a stretch of bad luck over the last few years but seemed to keep his sense of humor about it. I used to yak with him every now and then during Friday happy hour, I’ll miss that.
Dave was a good friend and a great guy. He and Tammie Toren (his lovely wife) made a great team, and he will be deeply missed. He loved this community and we loved him back. What a sad loss!
A tragic loss for Tammie and a huge loss for the community. In the 2 1/2 years I’ve lived here, he’d become a fixture in my mornings. I could always count on him to make my 30-minute ride to work fun with the trivia and “6 things”. The last time we spoke on the phone, it was about business – trivial stuff. I wish I had told him then how much his presence in my morning routine meant to me. Thanks Dave – wherever you are.
