- The J-Bar-T is closing; one last weekend of partying on January 11-12. Never been there, but I understand that it was a pretty lively place. Any particular memories you have (good or bad) of the J-Bar-T? UPDATE: Wow – the Trib article about the J Bar T contains some pretty rowdy memories and interesting tales!

- A benefit for the family of CMR student Luke Clinger will be held on February 9 at the Northwest Center; Luke remains in the hospital following a car crash in October, and money raised will go towards his medical bills. For more information, call 231-0377.

- Alison e-mailed me to let me know that she just taped a new radio ad to promote her Dragonfly Dry Goods January sale, and is looking to hire two new staff members.

- Rothwell & Company (hi reann!) is one of the sponsors of “Sled-Fest 2008″ that is taking place this weekend; it’s a freestyle snowmobiling competition that – remarkably – doesn’t use snow.

- Don’t forget the Town Hall meeting to address the on-going issue of animal welfare on January 5 @ 7:00 pm at the UGF Auditorium; it is free and everyone is invited.

Well, I WAS going to invite everyone to the Great Falls Appreciation Night tomorrow, Saturday, at 7:05 pm at the Four Seasons Arena, but don’t want to conflict with anyone’s schedule.

It’s just that the Great Falls Explorers are going on their longest road trip of the season after tomorrow’s game against Butte, and tickets are half price, that’s all.

It would be great to send them off in style, since they’re throwing a party in appreciation for all the support the great fans in Great Falls have shown them.

BTW, Eric Ramey won two round-trip tix to Vegas @ last night’s game, by making a HALF COURT SHOT!

It would be great to see you there!
