Cherokee Trail Info

posted on Monday, September 3, 2007

Got an e-mail from a friend who is looking to buy a house within the next year, and she’s got a question:

we have seen several houses for sale on Cherokee Road or Lane up behind Fox Farm…the question is why is everyone up there selling?? Has a hazardous waste site been discovered?? Is it another Love Canal or FPAL site? Are they planning on putting in a sewer plant or a power plant next door? Can you nose around and see if anyone has any insight into the issue???

She’s referring to Cherokee Trail, which is a bit south of the Fox Farm neighborhood. I don’t know of a rush to sell, and I haven’t heard of anything ominous going on down in that area. Any of my smart readers have some insight?

Most likely for the same reasons we are selling ours….

A southern by-pass will ruin property value for residential in the area…

Don’t scare them away!!? A by-pass would imply someone would want to go around Great Falls?! Why would anyone do that?
