Cold Spot

Visited Missoula (for the first time!) on Saturday, and of course had to stop near Rogers Pass on the way and grab a picture of what I consider to be something of a holy site: the location of the coldest recorded temperature in the lower 48!

Chilly!

As far as Missoula…well, it did have certain charms, but it made me REALLY appreciate Great Falls even more than I already did. I’ll have some more pictures and thoughts later.

I have to say that I am incredibly shocked at your reaction to Missoula and Great Falls.

I fully respect your opinion, but my wife and I would take Missoula (or Bozeman for that matter) over Great Falls any day of the week. We love the atmosphere and the culture that those towns offer along with a little more forward-thinking perspective. Not to mention a better variety (in our humble opinion) of shops (both big retailers and local stores).

Glad to hear you enjoyed the trip — I think the drive to Missoula is quite a pretty one.

Missoula is a place I chose to stay away from. The last time I spent the night I was hospitalized with asthma problems.

    I’ll stay here!
