If you haven't been to the Farmer's Market yet, you're missing an awesome event. It looks like it's going to be a banner year for the Market. Our opening day had 109 vendors (the most in over 2 years) and at least 30 of those vendors were first-timers! We've had 3 record-setting weeks already and the season has just started. We had so many vendors (122)for week 2 that our market manager was afraid she wouldn't have room for everyone, but she found space. We have almost 300 vendors - some come every week and some only occasionally - so there's something new to check out every week. Our vendors sell everything from fresh produce and flowers to baked goods, jams, jellies & honey, handcrafted cards & other paper crafts, wood and metal crafts, fresh frozen meat, fry bread, porkies on a stick, smoothies, potholders, quilts, jewelry, barbeque sauces & rubs, and many other wonderful handcrafted, homemade and homegrown items too numerous to mention.

But the Farmer's Market isn't just about selling "stuff." The Raks Maya Belly Dancers will be performing on June 30th at 10:30am, the MAFB K-9 unit will be putting on a demonstration (date & time to be announced soon), there are pony rides for the kids, we're planning a kid's treasure hunt for later this summer, there are musicians scattered throughout the Market to entertain you, Bluegrass on the Bay tickets are available, you can support literacy outreach by spinning the Tribune's literacy wheel and winning a prize, and we're partnering with Get Fit Great Falls to promote their 100-Mile Diet plan. Come on down and enjoy the fun!

If you are interested in performing or putting on a demo for our patrons, please send an email to FarmersMarketGF@earthlink.net. We're always looking for new ways to entertain our patrons and make the Market, bigger, better and more family-friendly than ever. Some entertainers have become so popular that they don't have time to perform at the Market anymore. What a better way to show off your skills and talents and get recognized.

The Great Falls' Original Farmer's Market is located in the Civic Center Park and we're open from 7:45am to noon every Saturday from June through September. And starting July 11th we'll be adding our Wednesday evening Markets from 4:30pm to 6:30pm in Whittier Park on the south side of the Civic Center.
