Question from a friend of mine: Is there a good place to take a puppy for his first swimming experience (somewhere not a river, but still close by)?
Belt creek? Roe River @Giant springs?
It’s hard to say these days.
Used to be that we could take our pooch to Broadwater Bay with us, but the environmentalists somehow thought that was wrong, dirty or whatever….
I’d suggest Belt Creek too, or anywhere south of Big Bend, somewhere, where folks won’t think it’s disgusting for a pooch to jump on in the water.
Wadsworth Pond
I agree with Firefly. Wadsworth pond is where we took our yellow lab Annie for may of her first… swimming, sitting like a good girl while the boys pulled in flobbing fish, fetching the “dummie” while having first retreving lesson and then two to three times a week our son rides his bikes with Annie running along side of him letting go of all the enegry build up inside to help with the temtations a chewing on momma’s new shoes!
