Took my father – visiting from Texas for a few days – to dinner at Jaker’s last night. We were inside the restaurant when the storm hit, but when we left we saw these amazing clouds (click pic for bigger view):
These are mammatus clouds, which are always fascinating to see rolling across the sky. The last time that I saw clouds like this in Great Falls was July 2005. Mose saw them last night, too, and he also saw and snapped a few pix of an incredible rainbow. Hey Mose – if you find that pot o’gold, don’t forget about me, your new best friend!
