Giving It Away at Starbucks

Apparently the rumor is true: Starbucks is giving away a free cup of coffee to anyone who wanders in between 10:00 am and noon today (March 15). It looks like a “cup of coffee” is it, though – nothing fancy (no frappuccino, latte, etc). As far as I know, this freebie applies to all Starbucks stores, including ours, so if you happen to be in the vicinity of 10th Avenue South and 9th Street late this morning, and don’t mind a potentially large crowd
actually, that might be a good opportunity for me to test-drive my new digital camera!

  1. Hey there David!

I’ve been reading your blog for quite some time now and sorry to say that my first comment has to be to voice a concern/complaint! It seems that my Google Reader is no longer picking up your RSS feed.

The last post received by it was on Feb 18th…finally I wandered on over here to see what was going on, at first I thought you had stopped updating! Any idea why this might be? I’m not having any problems with any of my other blog subscriptions.

  2. Thanks for visiting, Rachel – and for pointing out the problem. Should be working fine now – I had to change two characters in the RSS file. 🙂

  3. David,

Thanks for turning your attention to the problem so quickly…but it’s still not working for me! The latest post via RSS is still Feb. 18th.

Also yes, I am in Great Falls and I would love to be added to the blog roll. This blog is a new one, so there isn’t much there yet. I’ve been blogging privately for years now but have decided to go public.

    I’ll return the favor!

  4. David,

Sadly, it’s still not working! =( At least, I don’t think.

I tried subscribing again as I usually do using my handy “Subscribe” browser plugin for Google Reader. That didn’t work, it still brought the latest entry as Feb 18th.

So then I found the link to the bottom left that says RSS 2.0 and tried subscribing through there…and now it says “Greater Falls has no items”. It could possibly be that it’s just not bringing up your old entries since the feed has been changed. Maybe it will update correctly next time you post.

    Hmmm.

  5. This time I am about 99% certain that it’s fixed – there was a setting in Feedburner that I accidentally activated that instructed my feed to show only FUTURE items, for some reason, and I don’t have any “future” entries. Weird!
