Montana Accent – Follow Up

Found this quiz over at Jen’s place, and in light of the discussion about the existence of a “Montana Accent,” figured you might enjoy taking it, too.

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: North Central

“North Central” is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw “Fargo” you probably didn’t think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot.

To someone from Lawn Guyland who gets on line rather than in line, there really is no Montana accent. What I do hear is different vocabulary: pop rather than soda, sack rather than bag, crick rather than creek, trade rather than buy, and such.
