Minorly Breaking News

May 25th, 2006 · 4 Comments

Cripes…this is what the Tribune considers “Breaking News” — some fluffy pop singer wins a contest? Ack. And the story about the boy being struck by a car — well, maybe it’s “breaking” news, but when did “minorly” become an actual word?

I’m baffled as to why the “breaking news” section can be update 15 times with nothing really important.
Why is the street sweeping schedule being posted at 10AM?

“when did ‘minorly’ become a word?”

Clearly, David, they’re just trying to embiggen their vocabulary, and I think it’s a perfectly cromulent idea.
