G-Hog Day

So here it is: Groundhog Day, 2006. And what did that furry little forecaster predict? Six more weeks of winter! Um…that would be great, except that the “more” is a bit misleading. I’d settle for “any” weeks of winter, at this point. Warmest January in decades? No significant snow since just after Thanksgiving? Phfffffft. Gimme some REAL Winter before Spring arrives!

I hate to be the bad guy David, but as a lifelong Montanan this strikes me as a pretty good winter. Sunny and warm here, enough snow for good skiing up high. My only worry is the farmers.

FYI, there are a couple patches of snow in the barrow ditch on the way to Fort Benton! :)
