Malmstrom Air Force Base is well-known to folks in Great Falls, but since it lost the flying mission back in the 90s, it lost the most visible sign of it’s existence. But losing a few planes didn’t detract from the primary mission of the base: maintaining and operating 200 ICBMs, and all of the supporting facilities, people, and details that keep them ready.
